Amar Causevic

Amar works as a Policy Fellow at Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI). At SSFC, Amar works on innovative research examining trends, leverage points, and opportunities for financing forest-risk commodity trade and influencing commodity trader action on deforestation.

He has extensive experience in environment, energy, finance, and climate change-related issues. Before joining SEI and SSFC, he worked on the research examining interactions between financial markets and the biosphere at the Global Economic Dynamics and the Biosphere Programme (GEDB) based at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. Also, Amar worked on different sustainability-related projects with the World Bank, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, and Carbon War Room.

Amar holds a Master of Arts in International Economics and Energy, Resources & Environment from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University. Furthermore, he holds a Master of Arts in International Relations and a Graduate Certificate in Project Management from Boston University. He completed his undergraduate education at Webster University, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Management.
