ABOUT THE CENTRE

The Stockholm Sustainable Finance Centre aims to accelerate and promote the shift in capital investments required to deliver the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and climate targets.

The Centre is a unique collaboration between Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) and Stockholm School of Economics (SSE). This brings together a leading research university in financial markets and economics, and a highly ranked institute working on environmental impact and broader sustainable development issues.

Together we combine research, education, and innovation on levels of sustainability, economics, finance and new technologies.

Innovation

Innovation is at the centre of our activities through knowledge exchange, research, and collaboration.

Education

We focus on capacity building and best practices. Fostering collaborations to spread a sense of inspiration is part of it.

Research

In today's rapidly changing world SSFC does evidence-based research to link science, policy and practice.

Our mission is to support financial actors in their crucial role in changing our economies and to support the necessary shift in capital allocation to deliver the sustainable development agenda. We do so by finding innovative solutions, developing tools, through research and capacity building.
